Site work for a civil project in Groton, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City of Groton, Department of Utilities are requesting formal bids to furnish and install two passive intake screens with suspension system, a floating dock system with foundation and anchorage, and piping modifications at the Smith Lake Reservoir and Pump Station, including all testing and sanitizing and the demolition of the existing dock and screens. To receive consideration, such questions shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer at least ten days before the established date for receipt of Bids. Please contact Derick Hopkins at derick.hopkins@wright-pierce.com to submit questions REDUCTION IN SCOPE OF WORK The Owner reserves the right to decrease the scope of the Work to be done under the Contract Documents and to omit any work in order to bring the cost within available funds. To this end, the Owner reserves the right to reduce the quantity of any items of the Bid, either prior to executing the contract or at any time during the progress of the Work. The Owner further reserves the right, at any time during the progress of the Work, to restore all or part of any items previously omitted or reduced. Exercise by the Owner of the above rights shall not constitute any ground or basis of claim for damages or for anticipated profits on the Work omitted.
