Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Yakima, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot; and one-story above grade road / highway.

The City of Yakima is inviting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms interested in providing professional engineering design and surveying (as needed) services for a FHWA Highway Safety Improvement Program project: Intersection Safety Improvements at E. Nob Hill and S. 18th St. The work includes replacement of existing pedestrian pushbutton devices with an Accessible Pedestrian System (APS), repainting/replacing existing stop and crosswalk lines, replacement of non-ADA compliant sidewalks and curb ramps, as well as electrical work, sidewalks, curbing, crosswalks, and environmental documentation. Surveying of the area has not occurred; a design concept has been developed and will be provided. The design is intended for 2025-2026 with construction in 2026. The City reserves the right to retain the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases related to the project. SOQ submissions must be limited to twelve pages and should include information on key personnel, firm experience with small PS&E projects, ability to meet schedule, familiarity with the City of Yakima or similar municipalities, familiarity with WSDOT/FHWA standards, in-house experience, DBE approach and commitment, and past performance/references. SOQs will be evaluated on these criteria and the City will conduct interviews. Qualified disadvantaged, minority, and women-owned consultants are encouraged to respond.
