Nysdot Region - 05 NY Route 33 (Kensington Expressway) from Best St to East Ferry St in the City of Buffalo, Erie County. This project proposes to improve the visual quality and natural environment of the Humboldt Parkway neighborhoods by reasonably recreating a portion of the historic Olmsted-designed Humboldt Parkway while maintaining the important transportation link that Rt 33 provides for regional traffic. County : Erie The current status of the project is In Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Winter 2024/2025. Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2025. Construction is expected to be completed in Summer 2029. As of October 11, 2025, the project is in Conceptual status. Anticipated letting Year is 2026. NYDOT - Kensington Corridor Project *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
