The project entails providing Construction Management and Inspection Services for PHASE 3: SUPERSTRUCTURE (Multipurpose Laboratory Building), which involves the construction of a two-story building elevated on a raised structural deck. The scope includes oversight and management of the superstructure construction on an existing foundation, site improvements, and phased demolition of the existing operational laboratory (which must remain operational until the new space is complete and occupiable). Tasks include acting as the District's primary contact with the contractor, relevant city, and other agencies; overseeing all testing, construction, inspection, and acceptance requirements; conducting and documenting the preconstruction conference and weekly site meetings; and performing other necessary construction management activities. The project is expected to achieve LEED Gold certification, with the General Contractor responsible for LEED documentation.
