Renovation of an educational facility in San Rafael, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
The Scope of Work includes all required emergency structural slab repair work including: existing condition demolition, required rebar, rebar repair accessories, grouting and epoxy work. Verification of all conditions is required prior to the start of work, as well as preparation of shop drawings for approval. The repair contractor must provide all OSHA confined space access requirements including ventilation, additional supervisory personnel, and shoring as required. Repair unit costs for each repair condition must be included with bids. Each bid shall be submitted per the Contract Documents, and must conform and be fully responsive to this invitation, the plans and specifications, and all other Contract Documents. Subcontractors are strongly encouraged to notify Wright Contracting of their intent to bid this project. The successful bidder shall comply with the provisions of the Labor Code pertaining to payment of the generally prevailing rate of wages and apprenticeships or other training programs. The Contractor and all Subcontractors shall pay not less than the specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the Contract. The schedule of per diem wages is based upon a working day of eight hours, with the rate for holiday and overtime work at least time and one half. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening for bids except as provided by Public Contract Code SS 5100 et seq. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding. Minority, women, and disabled veteran contractors are encouraged to submit bids. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the California Department of Industrial Relations. All bidders, contractors, and subcontractors working at the site shall be duly registered with the Department of Industrial Relations at the time of bid opening and at all relevant times. Proof of registration shall be provided as to all such contractors prior to the commencement of any work. Each bidder shall possess at the time the bid proper licensure from the California State Contractor's License Board. The Project is substantially complex and therefore requires a retention amount of 10%.
