The City of Porterville is soliciting proposals from qualified, licensed contractors to manufacture and install a monument at the City of Porterville's Veterans Park. Proposals must be in accordance with the terms and conditions specified, and the contractor must have relevant experience and the ability to provide the required professional services. One qualified applicant will be selected to complete the full scope of the project. Proposer shall demonstrate adequate qualifications and experience in performing the following work required for manufacturing and installing this monument. The final scope of work may be adjusted after a site visit and meeting with staff. Any subcontractors or combination of subcontractors must be listed in the appropriate area of the proposal. All work must be performed in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and codes. The Contractor will be responsible for obtaining any necessary permits. The objectives of this RFP shall include, but not be limited to: The production and installation of a 14' sierra white granite monument in the shape of the 'Washington Monument', mounted on a 2' concrete pedestal. o Pondless water fountain flowing from the peak of the monument. o (2) bronze plaques 24"x24", (1) 30"x24", and (1) 20"x24"displayed on all (4) sides of the monument.
