Sealed bids are being accepted for the Clark Road Culvert Replacement. Contractors are required to comply with the minimum guidelines of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (O.S.H.A.), specifically Part 1926, Safety and Health Regulations for Construction. The Town of Sanford may issue a Stop Work Order if there are O.S.H.A. violations, which will remain until corrected. Bidders must submit a bid guaranty of at least ten percent (10%) of the total work amount, provided by certified check, bank draft, or bid bond approved by the Town Attorney (cash not accepted). The guaranty ensures execution of the Agreement and provision of required surety bonds. All laborers, workmen, or mechanics must be paid at least the prevailing wage and supplements as established by the New York State Department of Labor. Certified payrolls must be submitted with each payment requisition, covering all contractor and subcontractor payrolls. Bids must remain valid for 30 calendar days after the bid closing, and the Town will make the award within that period. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids and award the contract in its best interests.
