Bid forms, contracts, and specifications are available by contacting Remington & Vernick Engineers. Payment must be received prior to obtaining the specifications. No bids are to be picked up or dropped off at the engineer's office or at the municipality offices. All bids must be delivered prior to the bid opening date and time. Bids must be submitted on the form prepared by Remington & Vernick Engineers, enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and a reference to the particular work bid upon. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) but not more than $20,000.00 of the bid amount. A certificate letter from a surety company stating it will provide a completion bond must also accompany the bid. The contract will not become effective until the necessary funds have been provided by the Borough of Belmar in a lawful manner, and the award is subject to the securing of necessary State, Federal, or Local permits. Bidders must comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.
