Disclaimer: IN ORDER FOR YOUR BID TO BE CONSIDERED A LEGAL BONAFIDE BIDDER ON THE PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM REMINGTON, VERNICK ENGINEERS DIRECTLY Sealed bids are invited for the Belmar Library Facade Improvements project. Bids must be prepared using specified forms and submitted in sealed envelopes addressed to the Borough Clerk. Each bid must include a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for at least ten percent (10%) of the bid sum, not exceeding $20,000. A certificate letter from a surety company is also required, confirming provision of a completion bond. The contract will only become effective upon provision of necessary funds by the Borough of Belmar. The award is subject to securing necessary State, Federal, or Local permits. Compliance with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. (Affirmative Action), N.J.A.C. 17:27, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. (New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act), and the Americans with Disabilities Act is required. Contractors must submit a Disclosure Statement listing stockholders, comply with Public Works Contractor Registration Act and business registration requirements, and provide proof for themselves and subcontractors as needed. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. Anticipated Award - December 29, 2025 Question Deadline 12/12/2025 Every request for such interpretation should be made in writing, addressed to the Engineer, and to be given consideration, must be received at least ten (10) days prior to the final date fixed for receiving bids. SCOPE OF WORK BASE BID 1. Remove, salvage, safely store or support for reinstallation existing conduits, wires, connections, devices, etc. from facades if possible. If items must remain, they shall be protected. Any damage shall be rectified by contractor with no additional cost to owner. 2. Repair and restore all exposed stucco facades as shown within the contract documents. 3. Remove existing stucco down to existing bricks above water table at chimney. 4. Install new 3-coat stucco system above water table at chimney as shown within the contract documents. 5. Repair, parge, prime, paint and seal existing generator pad as shown within the contract documents. 6. Prime and paint all exposed, existing and new, stucco facades as shown within the contract documents. 7. Replace existing doors, side lites, frames, and hardware as shown within the contract documents. 8. Repair, restore, prime and paint existing front door wood surround as shown within the contract documents. 9. Repair, restore, prime and paint existing wood cornice brackets as shown within the contract documents. 10. Repair, restore, prime and paint existing wood windowsills on the lower level as shown within the contract documents. 11. Pressure wash and seal 'stone' cornices as shown within the contract documents. 12. Repair, restore, prime and paint existing handrail at ADA entrance as shown within the contract documents. 13. Install new platform and ramps at interior vestibule as shown within the contract documents. Add Alternate A1 1. Demolish existing aluminum gutter and downspout system. 2. Repair, replace, restore existing wood fascia as shown within the contract documents. 3. Install new aluminum gutters and downspouts as shown within the contract documents. Tie into existing storm water system.
