Separate sealed bids are requested for the construction of the Drinking Water System Improvements Project for Clear Creek Community Services District. The work includes replacement of the existing Spring House structure; installation of 62 feet of restrained 8-inch pipe in a creek; pipe bursting (Additive Alternate 1) or slip lining (Additive Alternate 2) 305 feet of existing 8-inch AC raw water main; installation of 122 feet of 8-inch raw water PVC main; construction of a new 17-foot by 15-foot Park Pump Station with two 15 HP, VFD-controlled vertical turbine can pumps; reconnection to the existing emergency generator; installation of 393 feet of 6-inch and 2,530 feet of 12-inch water main; construction of a 390,000-gallon prestressed concrete tank with yard piping; installation of 2,623 feet of 8-inch water main and emergency intertie with the Westwood Community Services District; and demolition of an existing pump station and hydro tank. Additive Alternate 3 includes a portable pump station. Bids are to be submitted for a single prime contract on a lump-sum/unit-price basis, and will be evaluated on the Base Bid amount. The prestressed concrete tank is designated a Specialty Item. Each bid must comply with the bidding documents, construction drawings, and specifications. Bidders must have a Class A California Contractor's license. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations as required. The project is funded in part by the State of California, and payment of prevailing wages is required.
