Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Elkin, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
This project is broken into two schedules of work: Schedule A - Apron Expansion: Includes sediment basins for primary erosion control, approximately 58,000 cubic yards of embankment in place, approximately 1,200 linear feet of storm pipe, approximately 2,300 cubic yards of crushed aggregate base course, and approximately 2,300 tons of asphalt surface course (S9,5B). Schedule B - Partial Parallel Taxiway: Includes sediment basins for primary erosion control, approximately 57,000 cubic yards of embankment in place, approximately 1,500 linear feet of storm pipe, approximately 2,100 cubic yards of crushed aggregate base course, approximately 2,100 tons of asphalt surface course (S9,5B), and edge lighting / signage for the new partial parallel taxiway system. A combined MBE/WBE contract goal of 0% has been established for this contract. MBE (15.5%), WBE (6.9%) Overall Contract Time: 195 Calendar Days '; Liquidated Damages for Total Contract Time Overrun: $1,000 per Calendar Day 11/11/2025 Question Deadline date added as per Addendum 1 All questions concerning the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the Engineer. During the bidding process, such inquiries must be made in writing.submit to the Owner's Engineer a written request for interpretation no later than 7 days prior to bid opening
