Work includes the furnishing of all equipment, material, insurance, and labor for installation of new electrical conduit, rewiring of existing poles and fixtures, removal and replacement of 16 heads with new LED light fixtures onto existing and new poles, installation of 38 new LED upgrade kits, new poles and foundations, two new Tesco electrical service control boxes along Dylan Dr, between Brick Road and Adams Road, within the City of South Bend, IN, all more particularly described in plans and specifications prepared by Jones Petrie Rafinski. This project also includes an Alternate for installation of 3 additional new poles, fixtures and wiring along Chet Waggoner. The Contract Documents are available for public inspection or purchase. Electronic bids must be on the City of South Bend Contractor's Bid for Public Work Form, accompanied by an electronic copy of a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid plus any alternates. The awarded bidder will be required to send the original check or bid bond via USPS. Each contractor must comply with "City of South Bend EEO Contracting Provision Diversity Utilization" and all other requirements, terms and conditions of bid conditions, including the goals for minority manpower. Woman and Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (W/MBE) are encouraged to respond. It is the bidder's responsibility to comply with all submission requirements in Section 6-63 of the Responsible Bidder Ordinance no later than the date of the public bid opening. The City reserves the right to request supplemental information and may conduct random inquiries of the bidder's customers regardless of pre-qualified status.
