More specifically, the contractor shall include in its bid: o Installing a new natural gas standby generator and automatic transfer switch to automatically provide backup power to the Whittaker branch in the event of an interruption in the utility power supply. This shall include the following: o Providing engineering and design of the natural gas standby generator system, including sizing and specification of the generator and associated components, as well as any required additional gas piping. o Procurement of all equipment and materials. o Installation of the standby generator system, including integration into the building's existing power system. o Obtaining necessary mechanical and electrical permits and any other governmental approvals required to operate system. o Commissioning and performance testing of the standby generator to satisfaction of the Owner including providing training regarding the operation of the generator system. o Minimum 12-month warranty once the system has been commissioned - terms must be acceptable to the Library. o An Alternate relating to providing power for the parking lot lighting in case of an emergency Ypsilanti District Library reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all bids, and to waive any or all formalities or technicalities, and to make such awards of contract as may be deemed to be the best and most advantageous to Ypsilanti District Library.
