Contract No. 1 - General Construction. No bidder may withdraw their Bid Proposal within a forty five (45) day period after the actual date of the Bid Opening. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of a bid bond, certified check, bank cashier/teller/treasurer's check payable to the Town of Sennett. Cash is not an acceptable form of bid security. Complete bid bond forms included in the Bid Proposal section of the Project Manual. If a bidder fails to enter into a contract with the Town of Sennett, upon acceptance of the bid, the bid security shall be forfeited to the Town of Sennett. All requests for documents, and payments, shall clearly reference the job name: Sennett Park Toilet Room Building. Contractors should not include in their bids the sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of the materials which are to be incorporated into this municipality project. The successful bidder must provide a 100% Performance and Payment Bond with a surety company satisfactory to the Town of Sennett and conforming to the requirements of Article 5 of the General Conditions. The bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance and a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond from an acceptable surety for and amount equal to 100% of the accepted bid. The right is reserved to waive any information in the bid and to reject any or all bids. Pre-Bid RFI's due to Architect by close of business on 11/21/25.
