Renovation and addition to an educational facility in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility; and one-story above grade educational facility.
Separate sealed bids are requested for high school renovations and additions. The work is to be bid as the following prime contracts: General Trades, Concrete, Masonry, Roofing, Glazing, Resilient Flooring & Carpet, Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, and Sitework/Landscaping. Bidding documents must be obtained and registered directly from the Construction Manager. Sealed bids must be completed on standard proposal forms and must include all required documents and materials listed in the Proposal Checklist. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, money order, cashier's good-faith check, or bid bond in an amount not less than 10 percent of the total bid, as security. Performance and payment bonds are required. Each bid must also include a Non-Collusion Affidavit. Compliance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act is required for all bidders and subcontractors. The School District reserves the right to hold bids for up to 120 days, to reject any or all bids, or to waive minor deficiencies or irregularities in accordance with Pennsylvania law.
