Design services to upgrade five outdated traffic signals along the 17th Street Corridor. Improvements will include new controllers, video detection, GPS emergency pre-emption, accessible pedestrian signals, ADA curb ramps, curb extensions where feasible, and high-visibility crosswalks. The system will connect to the Downtown Traffic Signal System via spread spectrum radio. Questions regarding electronic submissions are welcome via email through Purchasing@allentownpa.gov. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
