The project includes furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and other incidental and appurtenant work to dispose of existing playground equipment and replace it with a new playground system, as well as installation of new engineered wood fiber safety surfacing. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price upon contract award. Bidders must possess a valid Class A - General Engineering California Contractor's License at the time of bid submission and a current city business license at the time of contract award. The project is a public work subject to California prevailing wage laws and registration with the Department of Industrial Relations. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Completion is required within ninety (90) working days of the notice to proceed, with liquidated damages of $250 per calendar day for late completion.
