Demolition, site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Oxnard, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.
The project includes furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and other incidental and appurtenant work to dispose of existing playground equipment and replace it with a new playground system, as well as installation of new engineered wood fiber safety surfacing. Question Deadline 11/20/2025 All inquiries during the bid advertisement and other communications preceding any award of a construction Contract shall be directed to Oxnard Public Works representative: Grace Hernal, Public Project Coordinator, grace.hernal@oxnard.org and pw-publicprojects@oxnard.org Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and shall be accompanied by a bid security in the form of cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a bidder's bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price upon contract award. Bidders must possess a valid Class A - General Engineering California Contractor's License at the time of bid submission and a current city business license at the time of contract award. The project is a public work subject to California prevailing wage laws and registration with the Department of Industrial Relations. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Completion is required within ninety (90) working days of the notice to proceed, with liquidated damages of $250 per calendar day for late completion. All bidders should carefully review the instructions to bidders before submitting a bid proposal. The project is funded in full or in part with federal grant funds and bidders must create an account and obtain a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) through sam.gov prior to contract award and provide the UEI to staff upon request.
