Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of an educational facility in Oxnard, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade educational facility; for the construction of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and for paving for a educational facility.
Viola Inc. is requesting bids from qualified subcontractors for the Fremont Middle School Reconstruction Lease-Leaseback project for the Oxnard School District. Scope includes but not limited to: -Contruction of three new buildings: -Two-Story Classroom Building -Administrative Building -Multipurpose Building -Onsite and offsite improvements -Demolition of existing campus This project will be phased in Sequence 1 and Sequence 2. -Sequence 1 will be the construction of the new campus while the existing campus remains in operations -Sequence 2 will be the demolition of the old campus, after new campus is completed and occupied. Bid packages include: Survey, Demolition, Structural Concrete, Masonry, Structural Steel, Carpentry, Casework, Insulation, Roofing, Sheet Metal, Storefront, Door Hardware, Plaster, Drywall, Ceramic Tile, Acoustical Ceilings, Flooring, Wall Coverings, Painting, Markerboards, Signage, Toilet Partitions, Kitchen Equipment, Telescoping Bleachers, Site Furnishings, Window Coverings, Elevator, Fire Sprinklers, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Low Volt, Fire Alarm, Earthwork, Asphalt, Site Concrete, Fencing, Landscaping, and Underground Utilities. All subcontractors shall pay prevailing wages per the California Labor Code, and the project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement. Subcontractors must use a skilled and trained workforce for all work that falls within an apprenticeable occupation in the building and construction trades. Compliance reports are required with monthly progress billing. The District will have a Project Labor Agreement applicable to the project, requiring the successful bidder and all subcontractors to be bound by its terms. At Viola Inc.'s option, 100% bonding of all subcontractors may be required, with reimbursement available. Equal opportunity is encouraged for all DVBE/SBE/DBE/MBE/WBE subcontractors/suppliers. Pre-qualification requirements: All M/E/P Subcontractors must be prequalified with the District at least five (5) business days before the bid date. Subcontractors holding C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, or C-46 licenses must either be prequalified with the District or apply for prequalification at least ten (10) business days prior to the bid date. Assistance and more information are available on the District's contractor prequalification website. This is a prevailing wage project and compliance with the skilled and trained workforce requirements is necessary for all tiers of subcontractors. Bidders and subcontractors must comply with the Project Labor Agreement for the project.
