Site work and paving for a road / highway in Woodlynne, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Every request for such interpretation should be made in writing, addressed to the Engineer, and to be given consideration, must be received at least ten (10) days prior to the final date fixed for receiving bids. This project may be partially or entirely constructed in the Fall / Winter of 2025, weather permitting, or may be delayed until Spring of 2026. In the event construction is delayed, unit prices will be held as submitted at the time of bid. Fuel price adjustment and asphalt price adjustments will be made as applicable. This project involves the reconstruction of 4th Street within the Borough of Woodlynne. 4th Street will be reconstructed by means of full depth reconstruction. The roadway will be excavated to a depth of ten inches (10"). A woven geotextile will be laid down over the subbase. The roadway will then be backfilled with four inches (4") of dense graded aggregate base course and overlaid with three inches (3") of hot mix asphalt 19M64 base course and two inches of (2") hot mix asphalt 9.5M64 surface course. Stormwater structures and piping will be installed within the vicinity of 4 th Street and the dead end of Linden Avenue. The dead will first be excavated to remove a layer of mud buildup. Several Type E inlets with leaching basins will be installed. An existing B inlet at the terminus of Linden Avenue will be replaced. Stormwater piping will be installed to connect the new and replaced inlets into the existing stormwater system. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Borough of Woodlynne in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 of the amount bid. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. Bid shall also be accompanied by a certificate letter from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond. The award of the contract shall be made subject to the necessary moneys to do the work being provided by the Borough of Woodlynne in a lawful manner. The contract to be executed by the successful bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary moneys to do the work have been provided by the Borough of Woodlynne in a lawful manner. The award shall further be subjected to the securing of necessary State, Federal or Local permits governing the work. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. Doc note: Payment Must be received prior to obtaining said specifications, either by mail or in Person. No bids are to be dropped off at the engineer's office. The Borough of Woodlynne reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the Borough of Woodlynne. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, or to make awards to such bidder or bidders who, in the judgment of the Borough of Woodlynne, is the lowest responsible bidder and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law.
