Site work for a road / highway in Fargo, North Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Remove and replace traffic signal transformer bases at multiple locations citywide. o All Type IV signal standards will be manufactured by Millerbernd Manufacturing, Winsted, MN, or approved Valmont equal o If plans call for poles and T-base to be painted, colors will be as follows: o Transformer base - galvanized and gloss black. FURNISH AND INSTALL TYPE IV TRAFFIC SIGNAL STANDARD o All signal standards will be installed in accordance to Section 4200 Detail Drawing 5.3 o Contractor is responsible for verifying and following minimum horizontal and vertical clearance between light and/or signal standards and overhead power lines. o The City will inspect the standards upon delivery from the manufacturer, and any damage to the signal standards, transformer bases, hardware, luminaire extension, or anchor bolts. After the date of delivery and acceptance by the City will be the Contractor's responsibility to repair or replace as directed by the Engineer. o T-base bottom openings will use the Halek Solutions mouse guard, Rodent Barrier mouse guard or approved equal and must be installed according the manufacturer's instructions. o All standards will be plumbed with leveling nuts. The hand hole will be located away from traffic and the mast arms will be perpendicular to the roadway centerline. o All hardware will be galvanized, and all treads will have a covering of anti-seize. o Spliced or pulled through conductors will have sufficient slack to extend a minimum of 24 inches outside of the enclosure. All transformer base terminations will be made using a Wago Lever Nut (Series 222), installed and labeled as per Section 4200 Detail Drawing 5.13. Contractor will install Atom Lube or approved equal dielectric grease in all used or unused entrances of the Lever Nut. o Signal standard anchor bolt nuts WILL be torqued according to NDDOT Standard Specification 770.04-G, excluding the 10am deadline, with a City of Fargo representative present, to the following foot-pounds: Bolt Diameter (inches) Torque (foot-pounds) 1 300 1 1/4 630 1 1/2 1120 1 3/4 1820 2 2770 2 1/4 4010 2 1/2 5550 Questions Due Date Online Portal Deadline to submit Questions Oct 28th 2025, 2:00 PM CDT
