Site work for a water / sewer project in Ankeny, Iowa. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Install approximately 1,300 LF of 8-inch water main between SW Linden Street and SW Sharmin Drive, located north of SW 3rd Street. By upsizing from 6-inch to 8-inch diameter pipe, the installation of this water main will provide increased reliability for the distribution system within this area. The project will utilize both open-cut and trenchless construction methods, and will require reconnection of approximately 15 existing services. Construction for this project will be in 2027. The project is included in the City's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of October 29, 2025, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
