The City of Bellingham (City) is seeking written statements of qualifications from land surveying firms interested in providing professional surveying and mapping services. The City of Bellingham ("City") is seeking submittals (Invitation No. 36B-2025) from land surveying firms interested in providing professional surveying and mapping services to the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department for the Edgemoor Sewer Improvements project (EU202). The objective of the Edgemoor Sewer Improvements project is to construct pipe improvements to existing sewer lines in the Edgemoor neighbourhood that are difficult to access. Most of the lines included in this project run through backyards and while the city maintains easement rights over the pipes, access to the easements is limited. To limit the effects of construction on homeowners the City of Bellingham will need to obtain temporary construction easements so that physical barriers along the existing sewer easements do not have to be demolished. The City of Bellingham will need approximately 45 temporary construction easements to make the necessary repairs. The City of Bellingham is looking for a qualified surveyor to obtain Temporary Construction Easements. The surveyor will be responsible for creating a legal description and map for the temporary construction easement, amending the city's temporary construction easement for each property, and creating a legal description and map. The City of Bellingham, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, non discrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex in consideration for an award. Due to the complexity of this project, work may include all, some or none of the items listed above. There is no guarantee as to the amount or extent of work under this contract.
