The Kenton County Airport Board ("KCAB") will receive bids for North & South ARFF Stations Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Modifications & Tank Installation. No bids will be accepted after that time unless such date or time is extended pursuant to an addendum issued by KCAB. This is a General Contractor solicitation to complete the final phase of the ARFF Fluorine Free Foam Transition project. The scope includes the build-back construction of new mechanical distribution systems at both the North and South ARFF Stations. The previous phase successfully removed the old distribution systems. Scope of Work: Demolition (limited block demolition at North ARFF to allow tank access) Plumbing (installation of new distribution piping and components) Electrical Work (light electrical modifications to support new system installation) Hydro-testing (of the new system to verify functionality of controls, valves, pumps, etc.) Important Notes: The contractor will not be responsible for filling the tank with the new chemical. The charging of the new system with foam will be performed by trained ARFF personnel. The previous distribution systems have been fully removed. Facility Conditions: Work will be conducted in a 24/7/365 operational facility.
