Provide professional architectural and engineering design services for the demolition and abatement of various state office buildings in the downtown Sacramento area. All work shall be performed under and approved by a design professional, or contractor, licensed in the State of California. The estimated duration of this contract is 60 months. The Department of General Services (DGS), Real Estate Services Division (RESD), Project Management and Development Branch (PMDB) is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from Architectural and Engineering firms, pursuant to Government Code 4525 et. seq. The project consists of the potential for complete demolition and/or abatement of various state office buildings. Demolition and abatement to include but not limited to related building foundations, utilities within the property boundaries, relocating utilities and any Fire Life Safety that services adjacent buildings that will remain, coordination with the states 3 rd party CEQA consultant and leaving behind a clean site for future development. Demolition or abatement may involve asbestos and lead containing materials or other hazardous materials requiring abatement design, air monitoring and observation. The successful firm shall provide professional architectural and engineering design, and additional services as required, for the above-referenced project using design-bid-build and/or design-build delivery methods. The services may include, but not be limited to, reports, assessments, studies, preliminary plans, working drawings, scheduling, cost estimates, bidding solicitation support, and construction support. All work shall be performed under and approved by a design professional licensed in the State of California. The firm selected for this work and all sub-consultants are precluded from participating in any of the construction or other competitively bid contract work on this project.
