Work includes repaving various locations at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT, specifically Campbell Drive, Eagle Drive and Pickering Road, and Lot J. At Campbell Drive, the scope involves removing asphalt overlaid concrete pavement, concrete curbs, storm drainage structures and pipe, and portions of concrete sidewalk; temporarily removing a USPS Mail Drop Box; installing new storm drainage structures and pipe; constructing hot mix asphalt (HMA) pavement, concrete curbs, concrete drop curbs, and concrete sidewalk; constructing a porous concrete motorcycle parking area using pre-cast porous concrete slabs; building segmental block retaining walls and an underdrain pipe system; applying pavement markings; and reinstalling the USPS Mail Drop Box as indicated in the plans. At Eagle Drive and Pickering Road, the work includes removing HMA pavement and bituminous curbing; installing a storm drainage catch basin, curb inlet, manhole, and associated pipe; constructing HMA pavement and concrete curbs; rerouting a storm drain trunkline; and applying pavement markings. At Lot J, the work involves removing HMA pavement, curbing, concrete sidewalk, storm drainage catch basin, and pipe; installing new storm drainage catch basin and pipe; constructing traditional HMA pavement for drive aisles and porous asphalt pavement for parking stalls; building concrete sidewalks and curbing; and applying pavement markings. A 20% bid guarantee is required. Performance and Payment bonds will be required. The estimated price range of this Project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
