Project is awarded to CR Fence Company LLC with no bid amount available ** Bannock County is seeking a contractor to conduct fuels reduction treatments for the LAVA RANCHES PHASE 2 project. Applicants will be evaluated and ranked based on Cost Effectiveness, Approach, and Experience. The contract will be evaluated based on references provided, experience with the County, and any other information required to determine the contractor's ability to perform the services in a professional, timely, and safe manner. Bannock County reserves the right to negotiate an agreement based on fair and reasonable compensation for the scope of work and services proposed, as well as the right to reject any and all responses deemed unqualified, unsatisfactory, or inappropriate. Lava Ranches is located in south Bannock County, Idaho, at the top of a transition zone where a dry valley landscape shifts to forested mountainous slopes. Since 1999, Lava Ranches has developed 470 lots in a WUI Zone, between the city of Lava Hot Springs (pop. 369) and a dense forest of trees and brush (juniper, pine, fir, maple, quaking Aspen, sagebrush). Landowners face large amounts of hazardous fuel buildup from beetle infestations and invasive species encroachment. During Phase 1, 100 acres of fuel removal was done on Lava Ranches Property Association (LRPO) property.
