Renovation of a recreation facility in Summerville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade recreation facility.

The scope of work includes the complete design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of a brand new Yanmar gas fired heating/cooling system (or a comparable gas fired heating/cooling system) for a gymnasium. The contractor will replace the existing 100 amp circuit panel in the pool pump room onsite and add a 100 amp 24 circuit electrical panel in the old swimming pool pump room to support the new equipment. Two new outdoor units and six new indoor units will be installed to provide 24 tons of heating and cooling. A 6" concrete pad must be poured for the outdoor units. The project includes installation of all related gas piping, refrigerant piping, drain piping, and control wiring. Removal and disposal of existing incompatible equipment (including gas furnaces and exhaust fans), framing and sealing wall openings, and roof work as necessary are required. The system must be commissioned and facility staff trained. The bid must include all parts, all labor, and a lead time for project completion. Instructions to bidders: All bids must include a signed bid, a signed Certificate of Non-Discrimination, a signed E-Verify Compliance Affidavit, a signed Save Compliance Affidavit, a Request for Taxpayer I.D. Number (W-9), a Certificate of Insurance, and a Contractor Affidavit. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes as specified, and late or faxed bids will not be considered. The selected contractor must hold comprehensive general liability and vehicle liability insurance. All official correspondence and changes will be in writing and issued by the designated city official. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to cancel the solicitation, or to split the award at its discretion. The successful bidder must comply with non-discrimination and E-Verify requirements, and include these clauses in any subcontracts.
