Scope of Work includes the construction of South Road, approximately 6,982 linear feet of concrete roadway, 42 feet wide, consisting of a 3-lane roadway with a center turn lane and a right-of-way width of 150 feet, and approximately 1,460 linear feet of concrete roadway, 30 feet wide, consisting of a 2-lane roadway and a right-of-way width of 120 feet. The project also includes roadside ditches on both sides of the road with associated culvert crossings and drainage structures such as concrete sloped paving, drain inlets, and outfall to an adjacent detention pond within Cedar Port Navigation and Improvement District. Only electronic bids will be accepted. Bids received after the closing time will not be accepted. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified or cashier's check, acceptable to the Owner, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the Contract and execute the Bonds on the forms provided and provide the required insurance certificates within 10 days after receiving the Contract Documents. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference by each prospective bidder or its representative is required, and no Bid will be accepted unless the bidder or representative was present at the pre-bid conference. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in the bidding or bidding process except the time of submitting a Bid. The Successful Bidder will be the responsible Bidder judged most advantageous to the district and resulting in the most economical completion of the Project.
