Online sealed bids for the Weona Park ADA Playground - Phase 2 in Pen Argyl Borough, Northampton County, PA will be received via PennBid until 2 PM local time on the specified date. The project includes labor, materials, tools, oversight and permits required to demolish existing features not conducive with proposed design and install new Borough purchased play equipment, along with contractor purchased poured in place rubber safety surface, fencing, concrete paving and curbing, and stormwater systems. All areas must be ADA compliant. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft, or a satisfactory Bid Bond, in an amount equal to ten percent of the total bid amount. Bids shall remain open for 120 days from the date of Bid opening unless delayed by certain approvals, in which case the period extends to 150 days. Bids may not be withdrawn during this period. All Bidders must bid on all items listed on the Bid Form. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price and a Maintenance Bond in the amount equal to 15% of the Contract amount. The successful Bidder shall substantially complete the project within 120 calendar days of receipt of Notice to Proceed and be ready for final payment within 150 days. Compliance with the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act, Pennsylvania Act 229, the Pennsylvania One Call Act, and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act is required.
