Site work and outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot in Wyoming, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The city of wyoming, michigan (city) is requesting bids/proposals for the items, services, or project generally referred to as: wyoming senior center (wsc) exterior soffit and parking lot light as more particularly described and detailed in the plans and specifications attached to this request for bids/proposals (the "Work"). Questions about or requests for interpretation of this request for bids/proposals, any of the plans and specifications, or any bid/proposal requirements may be directed via e-mail to chad.Boprie@wyomingmi.Gov. No questions or interpretations will be issued later than 4 days before the due date for bids. Questions will not be answered by phone or in other oral communication. All bids/proposals shall remain valid for at least 90 days after submission. (90 days is standard but can be changed per individual bid.) note: 90 days is the hold time for pricing and availibility on a bid project. If the bid is for equipment, parts, components, supplies, or services to be provided on an as-needed, or when-ordered basis, bid pricing must remain in effect for the entire contract term. If it is an annual contract, pricing must be good for 1 year after the date the contract is approved and signed by city. If the contract term is longer than 1 year, the pricing must be good for the entire contract term. If annual or more frequent price adjustments are proposed, they must be included in the bid/proposal. Any bidder may withdraw its bid at any time prior to the scheduled time for the bid opening. A written request to withdraw shall be delivered to city's purchasing department prior to award. City reserves the rights to do any or all bids. No questions or interpretations will be issued later than 4 days before the due date for bids. A. The work contained for this project consists of the replacement of all soffit at the Wyoming Senior Center (hereafter referred to as "WSC"), replace the existing can lights with LEDS can lights in the soffit and to place a new LED head light pole in the south parking lot located at the WSC, 2380 DeHoop Avenue, Wyoming, MI 49509. B. The WSC must remain in operation during the project and the successful contractor is required to keep the area safe for all visitors. If certain areas need to be closed the awarded contractor must work with the WSC Manager or designee. C. The awarded contractor may utilize the facilities of the WSC Monday - Thursday 7am - 5pm. If work is completed outside of this time frame and portable facilities are required, they can be placed in the parking lot in a location approved by the WSC Manager or designee. D. The awarded contractor must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in related work in similar conditions. References of similar work experience shall be provided upon request. E. The awarded contractor will act as the primary contractor on the project and shall be responsible for all work performed by subcontractors. F. The awarded contractor will be responsible for disposal of equipment, parts, and material and shall comply with codes, ordinances, regulations, and anti-pollution laws. G. The awarded contractor must clean the site, remove all tools, appliances, construction equipment and machinery, and surplus materials within 48 hours of project completion. All property not designated for alteration must be restored to its original condition. H. This project is being funded by a Federal Community Development Block Grant. The winning bidder must comply with all Davis- Bacon requirements. All necessary documentation, including certified payroll reports, must be provided to the City's Community Development Coordinator. I. The mandatory pre-bid meeting will be required between the winning bidder and the Community Development Coordinator to discuss Davis-Bacon requirements. J. The winning bidder must possess, a unique entity identifier and active registration on SAM.gov. A. The awarded contractor must include the replacement cost of all exterior soffit tiles. Soffit tiles must be compatible with existing construction. B. The awarded contractor must include a new light pole with LED head in the south parking lot (location indicated with spray paint). o Must include the cost of directional bore. o Light pole must be installed to manufacture specification and meet all permitting requirements. o Light must be on a timer system that can be controlled by Parks and Recreation. o Restoration of the parking lot, landscaped areas, or repair of damaged items during construction. This project must be completed by May 1, 2026. Liquidated damages associated with failure to meet the date is $250 per day
