Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Port Huron, Michigan. Completed plans call for the remodel of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Furnish all labor, material and equipment required for the design and furnishings per the enclosed specifications. Contractors must visit the site to become familiar with the project. No change orders will be given for contractors not being familiar with the project and/or scope of work. Work must be scheduled around school calendar and completed preferably before June 30th, 2026 All OSHA safety regulations are to be followed and included in the quote. All permits and certifications are the sole responsibility of the contractor. Work must be bid using current prevailing wage rates in the State of Michigan. The contractor must provide proof of prevailing wage rates by submitting form WH-34-7 when requesting payment. The contractor shall be responsible for obtaining and compliance with all permits, local, state and federal codes for the materials, scheduling all inspections, storage, handling and disposal of materials. The contractor must include a 5% bid bond with bid submission and provide performance and labor bonds upon project award, the cost of which shall be included in the bid. Materials may be stored on site in an Owner designated area until completion of the project, at which time Contractor shall thoroughly clean all related areas and ensure the premises are left in a neat, safe and orderly condition. Any work not included within specs that is required/needed by the contractor must bring this to the attention of the owner at time of RFP. The proposal must include graphics and paint plans for walls and furniture (to scale), furniture as scheduled, delivery and installation, removal and disposal of existing tables, graphics material and installation, paint services and supplies (if not included, owner will supply), and warranties for materials and labor. All contractors and subcontractors must post prevailing wage rates on site and maintain accurate wage and benefit records for inspection. The prime contractor must ensure all subcontractors comply with prevailing rate requirements. Five years of experience is preferred for bidders, with references.
