Demolition, site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in West Caldwell, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the demolition of a water / sewer project.

The project involves the partial demolition and modification to the sludge collector equipment in the two final clarifiers at the Borough of Caldwell Wastewater Treatment Plant. The work includes tank bypass and dewatering, temporary removal of clarifier bridge and center column, equipment, piping and concrete demolition, new concrete work at the bottom of the tanks, concrete coring, installation of new sludge collector equipment components, and equipment startup and testing. Bids must be delivered and submitted to the Borough Clerk during business hours. Bidders are required to comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act and the Federal Labor Standards. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided and in the manner designated by the Specifications. Bidders must submit one original and five copies of the bid package. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope with the bidder's name, address, and the project name on the outside, and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond of not less than 10% of the bid amount (not less than $500 nor more than $20,000) along with a Consent of Surety statement. Bidders must also submit a statement of ownership, setting forth the names and addresses of all individuals with a 10% or greater interest in the company. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after opening. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or all proposals will be rejected within sixty days after bid opening. Compliance with equal employment opportunity and affirmative action requirements is mandatory, as outlined in NJSA 10:5-31 et seq. and NJAC 17:27. The Borough of Caldwell reserves the right to reject all bids, reject unbalanced bids, and waive any informality in any bid.
