Renovation of an educational facility in West Caldwell, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The scope of this project includes a gut renovation of the existing Shops classroom wing at James Caldwell High School. The work consists of: - Architectural: alteration and room reconfiguration for accessibility, relocation of existing equipment, and installation of new furniture (furniture is not provided). - Mechanical: installation of new HVAC units and new dust collectors. - Electrical: providing new power to existing equipment. - Plumbing: relocation of fixtures. - Structural: new structural reinforcement to the existing roof structure, new masonry wall construction, and modifications to the existing base concrete slab. - Site: construction of a new concrete pad with bollards. Bids are to be received for a lump sum price covering the entire project and all trades. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in specific categories and must submit documentation related to prequalification, certificates, and affidavits as required. No modifications to the instructions, conditions, or specifications will be permitted except through addenda. Bidders must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including workforce reporting and ownership statement requirements. All bid security and surety conditions apply as detailed in the bid documents. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, with the right reserved to reject any or all bids or waive non-material exceptions.
