Renovation of an educational facility in West Caldwell, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids are requested for the Elevator Addition and Chair Lift Renovation at Washington Elementary School. Bidders must use and complete all bid forms and comply with the requirements specified in the instructions. Bids must be accompanied by an unconditional certified check or a bid bond in an amount of ten percent of the base bid but not exceeding $20,000, and a Certificate of Consent of Surety. General contractors and subcontractors must be prequalified by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, and possess a valid Notice of Classification prior to bidding. All bidders and their subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor Workforce Development under the Public Works Contractor Registration Act and with the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Revenue, for Business Registration Certificates. Bidders must not appear on the State Treasurer's or Federal Government's list of debarred, suspended, or disqualified bidders. All bids must be submitted to the Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education, clearly marked with the name of the project. Late submissions will not be considered. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive to the bid requirements. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality in the process if in its best interest. If required, an Addendum will be issued on April 21st 2026.
