The Township of West Caldwell is soliciting bid proposals from qualified bidders interested in providing solid waste and recyclable material collection and disposal services for residents of the Township for a 3-year term or a 5-year term option. The proposals must also include an option for providing these services from all Caldwell-West Calwell Board of Education properties. Bids must be made on standard proposal forms in the manner designated in the Bid Specifications and enclosed in sealed envelopes addressed to the Township Clerk, bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the contract. All bids must be accompanied by a non-collusion affidavit and either a certified check, cashier's check, or a bid bond, issued by a surety licensed in New Jersey, in an amount not less than 10% of the amount bid, not exceeding $20,000, along with a Consent of Surety for performance and payment bonds, and all documents required in the bid package. Bidders must also present a copy of their New Jersey Business Registration Certificate at submission. All bids are to comply with statutory requirements, including Affirmative Action requirements, Americans With Disabilities Act, and other regulations as specified in the Bid Specifications. Nonresponsive bids will not be accepted, and the Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities.
