Work includes construction of an elevator shaft at 3607 South Main St. in South Bend, Indiana, as described in the plans and specifications prepared by JQOL. Electronic bids must be submitted with the title of the bid and project number in the subject line, and must include the company/vendor name, address, contact email address, and phone number in the body of the email. Bids must be accompanied by an electronic copy of a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid plus any alternates. The awarded bidder will be required to send the original check or bid bond via USPS. Each contractor must comply with "City of South Bend EEO Contracting Provision Diversity Utilization" included in the specifications as to each construction trade used on this contract and all other construction work in the St. Joseph County area during the performance of this contract or subcontract. The contractor commits to the goals for minority manpower and all requirements, terms, and conditions of these bid conditions by submitting a properly sealed bid. Woman and Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (W/MBE) are encouraged to respond. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to comply with all submission requirements applicable under Section 6-63 of the Responsible Bidder Ordinance by the public bid opening date. The City reserves the right to request supplemental information and to conduct random inquiries of the bidder's current and previous customers. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or accept a full or partial award as judged to be in the best interests of the City of South Bend.
