Site work for a water / sewer project in West Orange, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
A waterline located 3’ below the railroad must be relocated to a minimum depth of 6’ below the railroad. The work includes installing new casing with vents, a new waterline, markers, valves, and making necessary connections. The contractor is responsible for coordinating with District personnel before starting work and must adhere strictly to the Contract Specifications. Work involves installing 12”x1/4” steel casing by jacking and boring with two vents (including excavation, backfill, trench safety), installing a 6” C-900 Class 150 PVC waterline with two gate valves, two air release valves, and one near side connection, making end connections to the existing waterline, removing existing pipe only as indicated, and providing ongoing traffic control and storm water pollution prevention. The contractor must provide a one-year warranty for repairs due to faulty materials or installation, contact the designated representative prior to starting, apply for a construction water meter if needed, and restore the project site to original or better condition prior to final acceptance. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents.
