The project is for the 2026-2028 Catch Basin & Inlet Cleaning Program. Bidders must submit sealed bid proposals that include the full name or names of the parties making the bid, an affidavit as to interested parties, and, for corporations not chartered in Ohio, a certificate authorizing them to do business in Ohio. Each bid must also be accompanied by a bond, certified or cashier's check on a solvent bank, payable to the City of Shaker Heights, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid for the first year (2026). The bid bond or check serves as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of such contract will be secured. If the bidder defaults, the bond or check may be forfeited as liquidated damages. Minority Business Enterprises, Female Business Enterprises, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit bids or proposals. The City of Shaker Heights reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities, and accept any bid deemed most favorable.
