Site work and paving for a road / highway in North McKenzie, North Dakota. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The work to be performed by the Consultant includes survey, quantity calculation, permitting, and final construction plans and specifications. Although the project is anticipated to be constructed by the County's Road and Bridge Department's internal construction crew, a complete plan set is to be developed. The typical cross section and other specific design criteria are to be per the County's Design Standards for New Construction or Reconstruction of Roads and NDDOT standards. The proposed design speed is to be reviewed by the Consultant and the County and finalized after initial data gathering has been completed. Hydraulic analysis is to be completed per Chapter V of the NDDOT Design Manual and the County's design standards. Detailed temporary traffic control plans are to be prepared and coordinated with the County. The selected Consultant is to prepare utility location and conflict plans and assist with utility coordination. Consultant is to work with the County's Right of Way Agent throughout the projects. Coordination with Right of Way Agent may include but is not limited to survey right of entry, preliminary plats, preliminary plats with aerial imagery, exhibits to aid with acquisition, staking of right of way and/or grading limits, and final plats. Design activities include preparation of final construction plans, specifications, and mitigation plans. The project is to be constructed in July of 2026. Each proposal shall contain a cover letter signed by an authorized officer who can sign contracts for the Consultant. The pages of the cover letter will not be counted as a part of the pages. Also include the individual's email address below each signature on the cover letter The proposal pages shall be numbered and must be limited to 5 8.5" x 11" pages in length. Proposals that exceed the page length requirement will not be considered. This section should contain your approach and project specific plan. McKenzie County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
