Professional engineering services are required for the design of a new 2.0-million-gallon elevated water storage tank and a 24-inch water main. The tank will be located north of Wagoner Road, west of US Highway 98 in Fairhope, Alabama. The 24-inch water main will run from the tank to Wagoner Road and along Wagoner Road to the east side of US-98. The project aims to enhance storage capacity and pressure management in the southern section of the Fairhope water system. The design will include, but is not limited to: site development, foundation design, design of the elevated tank, design of the 24-inch water main, and associated inlet/outlet piping and electrical components. All bidders must comply with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, utilize the bid forms provided, and submit bids in a sealed, opaque envelope clearly identified with the necessary information. Bidders must be properly qualified and licensed according to all applicable Alabama state laws, including having a current general bidder's license where applicable. Non-resident vendors must provide proof of qualification with the Secretary of State to do business in Alabama. The awarded contractor must obtain a current business license or purchase one with the City of Fairhope prior to performing any work. Bids must not be submitted in pencil and must be in separate envelopes if multiple bids are provided. Failure to follow instructions may result in bid rejection. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and adjust the contract as in the City's best interest.
