Project consists of constructing a new restroom facility at Josefa Park in Alton, Texas. Bids require a bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety, or a certified check, bank draft payable to the City of Alton, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The City of Alton reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. In case of ambiguity or lack of clarity in stating prices in any bid, the Owner reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof or to reject the bid. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Bids may be held by the City of Alton for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders qualifications prior to the contract award.
