The work consists of the repair and resurfacing, with asphaltic concrete, of various streets and city-owned properties as well as catch basin repairs at various locations in the City of Hudson, Ohio, in accordance with provided specifications. Bituminous pavement planing shall include the removal of the entire surface of the street. This will include varying thickness on some streets due to the city profile milling from 1.5" or 2" at edge of pavement to 1" +/- at crown, the City is trying to maintain close conformity to a 2% - 3% cross slope. The contractor must notify the city if the cross slope will end up being more than 3/8" cross slope before the asphalt surface course is installed . PAVEMENT REPAIRS -Full depth removal and replacement will not exceed 9" in depth from finish grade on the lower ADT roads or 12" in depth on the higher ADT roads unless specified on site by the City of Hudson inspector. Bids must be submitted through the Bid Express website. Bid security is required either in the form of a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid, or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit in the amount of 10% of the bid. The City of Hudson reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive nonconformities not involving price, time, or changes in the work. Instructions regarding disruptions in bid submissions will be communicated to potential bidders if necessary.
