Engineer's estimate of construction costs Approximately $5.5 - $6 million Scope of Work: Construction is located on Genesee Street between Kerns Avenue and Countess Avenue in the City of Buffalo and includes: 1. Installation of SPP 341A Diversion Chamber along the north side of Genesee Street 2. Installation of a new dropshaft to the Scajaquada Tunnel, including energy dissipation insert, and connection to the existing dropshaft and stub pipe to the Scajaquada Tunnel. 3. Partial demolition of the existing dropshaft and air vent at surface level and installation of a new air vent chamber and connection of the air vent chamber to the new drop shaft structure. 4. Installation of new 30-inch diameter piping from the proposed SPP 341A Diversion Chamber to the proposed SPP 341A dropshaft, along with new 48-inch casing pipe under Genesee Street (casing to be installed through trenchless method). 5. Installation of two new sanitary manholes. 6. Modification of the existing SPP 341A interceptor chamber to connect to the proposed SPP 341A Diversion Chamber. 7. Abandonment of a portion of the existing interceptor chamber at SPP 341A and associated piping and accessories as shown on the Drawings. 8. Work zone traffic control as shown on the Drawings. 9. Restoration of work zone area, including landscaping, paving, curb replacement, sidewalk replacement as shown and specified. d. The Work includes: 1. Furnishing labor, material, superintendence, power, light, heat, fuel, water, tools, appliances, equipment, supplies, services and other means of construction necessary or proper for performing and completing the Work. 2. Maintaining the Work area and site in a clean and acceptable manner. 3. Protection of finishing and unfinished Work. 4. Furnishing proper equipment and machinery, of a sufficient capacity, to facilitate Work and to handle issues normally encountered in Work of this character. 5. Furnishing, installing and protecting necessary supports, anchor and attachment bolts, and other appurtenances needed for the installation of the Work. 6. Control of local traffic during construction.
