Vendor services for campus cooling towers include monthly water sampling and testing at each tower (during operation) for bacteriological (“dip slide”) parameters; pre-tower startup and 90-day follow-up inspections of towers; sampling water at each operating tower and testing for legionella (by a NYS DOH-accredited lab) within 14 days of start-up, at 90-day follow-up intervals, and within 7 days of any action level exceedance; maintenance program advisement per ASHRAE guidelines as needed, with annual compliance certification for proper treatment and maintenance by November 1 each year; and provision of written reports for all services. Buffalo State University intends to make an award under our discretionary authority, pursuant to NYS Education Law §355 (5) (a), for the noted commodity/product or service. A sealed bid will not be held.
