Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Danville, Indiana. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The work consists of the replacement of Bridge No. 28 located on County Road 700 North over White Lick Creek in Brown Township, Hendricks County, Indiana, with a new 84.0' span prestressed concrete box beam structure as specified in the Plans and Specifications. The project includes furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor as indicated in the Specifications. Any and all required permits must be procured by the successful bidder. The work must comply with the Notice to Bidders, General and Special Provisions, the Contract, and the Plans and Specifications. Bidders are required to execute bids completely on the prescribed forms, including a Non-Collusion Affidavit, and accompany them with a certified check, cashier's check, or satisfactory bid bond (not less than 10% of the total bid). The successful bidder must provide a performance bond and a payment bond, each equal to 100% of the total bid, a maintenance bond for one year after project completion equal to 20% of the bid, and specified proof of insurance. Bids may not be withdrawn for 60 days after the opening. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities or irregularities. Contract documents, plans, and specifications are available from the Hendricks County Engineering Department, with a fee for copies.
