Site work and outdoor lighting for a multi-residential development in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a multi-residential development; and for outdoor lighting for a multi-residential development.
This project provides comprehensive exterior lighting upgrades across the New Bedford Housing Authority's Westlawn Development, encompassing dozens of residential buildings of Types A-D. Work includes replacing existing entry/exit luminaires at every apartment door, adding new wall-mounted luminaires where required, and removing existing tenant-controlled switching in favor of centralized photocell control. New dedicated 20A house-panel lighting circuits are provided for canopy and wall-pack fixtures, with NM-B cable run through basements and attic spaces, transitioned to THWN in conduit where exposed. Existing time clocks are removed and replaced with junction boxes, with downstream circuitry re-used where appropriate. The plans include detailed risers for canopy and wallmounted lighting, interior routing requirements, device removal and blank-plate installation, and a fullsite photometric analysis to validate overall illumination levels. The construction cost is estimated to be $130,000.00
