LOCATION Right of Way of NE 40th Street adjacent to 14080 NE 40th Street, Bellevue WA 98007 Work contemplated to be performed under this contract includes constructing approximately 40 linear feet of 18-inch ductile iron watermain, installing a new 18-inch butterfly valve, abandoning an existing water meter and 96-inch manhole, connecting to existing watermain, performing asphalt trench patching, Providing traffic control and other work required to complete the project. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to at least 5% of the bid. The successful bidder must also comply with supplemental responsible bidder criteria and the City of Bellevue's equal opportunity requirements. All plans and specifications for this project are available online at the Builder's Exchange of Washington website. Any omissions, discrepancies or need for interpretation should be brought in writing to the attention ofthe Engineer not later than 4 days prior to bid opening, or 2 days prior for a 2 week bid period. Written addenda to clarify questions which arise may then be issued Long lead time equipment shall be procured by the Contractor following contract award. Once the equipment order is placed, the project will be suspended until critical items are received to begin construction. Long Lead equipment must be ordered within 21 days from the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall store all equipment in a secure location until the City provides written authorization for Construction to resume.
