The work consists of furnishing any equipment and labor deemed necessary, on-call by the City of Colville Public Works Department, to remove snow from approximately 8.5 miles of City Streets. Only those streets specified by the Public Works Department will be cleared as a part of this contract; it is the responsibility of the adjacent resident(s) to clear sidewalks of free-falling snow. Contractors must be licensed, bonded, and insured in the State of Washington. If the project exceeds $35,000, performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract will be required. Bid bonds are not required. The proposer shall submit a list of equipment that will be made available for the work and be prepared for equipment inspection. The contractor shall maintain insurance coverage as specified and provide a Certificate of Insurance with the City of Colville listed as additional insured. All entries on the proposal forms must be filled in, signed, and submitted in a sealed package labeled appropriately. Proposals that do not meet submission requirements or are late will not be considered. Contractors must be eligible to perform work on public works projects and have completed required training or be exempt.
