Demolish an existing condemned U.S. Navy pier approximately 1,570 feet long by 100 feet wide and construct a new pier approximately 1,000 feet long by 80 feet wide to support four U.S. Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Cutters. The work includes construction of a new bulkhead approximately 360 feet long and associated waterfront improvements. Supporting site development includes a laydown area, parking, stormwater management features, and installation of fire protection and potable water systems. The project also includes electrical, telecommunications, and compressed air utilities and all related infrastructure necessary to support pier operations and vessel berthing. In accordance with DFARS 236.204(iii), the magnitude of construction for this project is between $100,000,000 and $250,000,000. Location: Naval Station Newport, Newport, Rhode Island.
