The project involves the demolition of the existing synthetic turf field and track surfacing, D-zone surfacing, including the underlying base material, sand pits, and pole vault box. New construction includes the installation of new synthetic turf for the field and the installation of all-weather track surfacing over the existing asphalt base. New all-weather track surfacing will also be laid down in the eastern D-zone on a new asphalt base, as well as the installation of new long/triple jump sand pits, pole vault box, and discus cage. All bids must be submitted electronically using the District's specified online portal and must conform to the provided bid forms and all Contract Documents, including the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders are required to possess a valid State of California Contractor License A, which must be active and in good standing at the time of bid submission and throughout the contract term. Each bid must include a bid bond, cash, cashier's check, or certified check in the amount of ten percent of the total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. The District allows substitution of securities for any monies withheld to ensure performance under the Contract, per Public Contract Code § 22300. The contractor and subcontractors must pay prevailing wages as determined by the State of California and comply with registration and qualification requirements. Bids may not be withdrawn for ninety days after opening, and the District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or waive irregularities. The Contract will be awarded, if at all, to the lowest responsive responsible Bidder based solely on the base bid amount. Installation of New Synthetic Turf Carpet on Field and New All-weather Track Surfacing on Existing Asphalt Base, Installation of New Eastern D-zone All-weather Track Surfacing Over New Asphalt Base, Installation of New Long/triple Jump Sand Pits With Sand Catchers and Pit Covers and New Pole Vault Box, and Installation of New Discus Cage in Western D-zone.
